Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations in a rigid plastics facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM), Injection Molding (IM), Injection Blow Molding (IBM), and Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM), with the ability to drive productivity, quality, and operational efficiency across multiple production lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to achieve production and delivery targets.
- Optimize machine utilization, mold changeovers, cycle times, and production efficiency while minimizing downtime and scrap.
- Supervise multi-shift production operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.
- Monitor and improve EBM, IM, IBM, and ISBM processes, troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Coordinate with QA/QC to maintain product quality and compliance with food-grade and regulatory standards.
- Track and improve production KPIs, including OEE, downtime, cycle efficiency, scrap, and cost per unit.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with maintenance and tooling teams.
- Lead, train, and develop production supervisors and operators while promoting continuous improvement and workplace safety.
- Maintain production records, prepare management reports, and support ERP-based production planning (SAP Business One or equivalent).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Polymer, Plastics Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- 7–10 years of experience in rigid plastics manufacturing with hands-on expertise in EBM, IM, IBM, and ISBM.
- Minimum 3 years in a production leadership role managing multi-line, multi-shift operations.
- Strong experience in process optimization, mold/tooling changeovers, troubleshooting, and yield improvement.
- Experience with PP, PET, HDPE, or similar resins in rigid packaging or kitchenware manufacturing.
- Experience with SAP Business One or similar ERP systems is preferred.
