Trainee Officer – Terminal Operations

Job Detail

Assist in daily terminal operations including vessel loading/unloading and yard cargo management.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support smooth cargo handling.
Monitor compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
Maintain accurate records of cargo movement, storage, and yard activities.
Participate in regular inspections of yard areas and equipment to ensure proper upkeep.
Support problem-solving efforts for operational challenges and delays.
Learn and follow procedures for bulk and break-bulk cargo stacking and discharging.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors; provide timely reporting.
Demonstrate ownership, adaptability, and a proactive attitude during shift work.
Apply cost-awareness and operational efficiency in day-to-day responsibilities.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (BA, B.Com, or related field).
1–2 years of experience preferred; fresh graduates with relevant internships may apply.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Familiarity with cargo handling and yard operations is a plus.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
Willingness to work in shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

SALARY RANGE: 45000-48000
