Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and oversee the company’s overall business performance with strong ownership of Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, P&L, and business growth, while overseeing key operational and support functions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical industry background with a proven track record in business leadership, revenue growth, profitability, and large-scale operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall business operations and drive achievement of revenue, profitability, and strategic growth objectives.
- Develop and execute Sales, Marketing, Commercial, and Business Development strategies to drive market share and revenue growth.
- Take ownership of P&L, budgets, gross margins, cost optimization, and financial performance.
- Lead and monitor Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Engineering, and support functions.
- Drive new product launches, market expansion, customer development, and commercial opportunities.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, sales targets, profitability metrics, and departmental performance.
- Ensure operational efficiency, productivity, cost control, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
- Lead senior management teams and foster a culture of accountability, performance, and business excellence.
- Support CAPEX, capacity expansion, strategic partnerships, and organizational growth initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 15+ years of relevant experience within the Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical industry.
- Previous experience as COO, Commercial Director, Business Unit Head, GM, Director Operations, or equivalent senior leadership role.
- Strong track record in Sales, Marketing, P&L management, business development, and revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, GMP, quality systems, regulatory affairs, and supply chain.
