Job Description
We require a candidate with experience on Technical / Engineering Manager to lead our technical service, installation, commissioning and maintenance activities for industrial packaging and automation equipment.
The position requires a technically strong and hands-on engineering professional capable of managing field service teams, coordinating customer-site activities and taking ownership of the successful installation and after-sales support of machinery supplied by the company.
Job Role:
- Lead and supervise technical maintenance activities and maintenance teams deployed at customer plants.
- Plan and lead the installation, commissioning and handover of packaging machines, complete packaging lines, filling lines, industrial robots, automation systems and material-handling equipment.
- Manage the company’s service team and field technicians, including allocation of manpower and scheduling of customer-site activities.
- Ensure timely intervention and resolution of customer breakdowns, maintenance requests and technical support requirements.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for installed equipment.
- Manage spare-parts inventory for installed machinery and ensure availability of critical service components.
- Liaise with customers, equipment manufacturers and overseas technical teams for troubleshooting, commissioning and technical support.
- Conduct and supervise project risk assessments, site surveys and technical data collection for new and existing projects.
- Review technical requirements and support project teams during planning and execution.
- Maintain service records, installation documentation, maintenance reports and equipment history.
- Develop and improve internal technical procedures, maintenance practices and service response standards.
- Train, mentor and develop technicians and junior engineers within the technical department.
- Ensure compliance with appropriate site safety and customer EHS requirements during installation and maintenance activities.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong practical experience in industrial machinery installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience managing technicians, engineers or field-service teams.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and automation systems used in industrial machinery.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, electrical diagrams, equipment manuals and machine documentation.
- Good customer communication, team-management and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer plants across Pakistan as required.
Preferred Industry Experience
Strong previous experience with one or more of the following will be highly preferred:
Packaging machinery • Filling and capping lines • Lubricant oil filling/packaging lines • End-of-line packaging equipment • Industrial robots/cobots • Conveyors and material-handling systems • Industrial automation
