Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Sonologist to join a newly established medical setup in Karachi. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, accurately interpreting findings, and preparing clear and timely reports while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound and sonography examinations as required.
- Obtain high-quality ultrasound images using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Interpret sonographic findings and prepare accurate and comprehensive reports.
- Maintain proper patient records and documentation.
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and privacy throughout the examination.
- Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding diagnostic findings when required.
- Ensure proper handling and routine care of ultrasound equipment.
- Follow established medical, safety, hygiene, and professional standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
- Contribute to a professional, patient-focused, and positive clinical environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS or relevant medical qualification.
- Recognized qualification/training in Diagnostic Ultrasound/Sonology.
- Valid PMDC registration/license.
- Previous experience as a Sonologist/Ultrasound Specialist.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures, imaging techniques, and interpretation.
